Veteran Stories
Since February 2024, we have focused on preserving the stories of Canadian veterans. The biographies you read on this website are compiled primarily from audio or video recorded interviews and are supplemented by academic sources. The veterans to whom these stories belong were aged up to 108 at the time of interview. If you believe you can provide clarity on any possible inconsistencies or gaps in these stories, we welcome your feedback. While conducting these interviews, our team has had the honour to arrange medal presentations for lost or entitled awards and celebrate veterans in various ways including birthday card campaigns and Quilt of Valour presentations. These feel-good experiences are often reflected within our collection of stories. Check back regularly for new veteran stories and edits, as we add additional information when it surfaces.
